B-I-N-G-O!

Bingocardsbrighter
I don't know if this is true where you live, but the thrifting has been a bit thin around here lately. Maybe it's just an after-holiday slump, but I've had trouble finding just the right pieces at our local shops. (Plus, as the days get colder, I'm growing more excited and antsy for the start of yard sale/flea market season. Aren't you?) Anyway, I was just about to give up when I found this sweet vintage picture bingo game. I love the little graphics. (Wouldn't a bed just like the one in the picture be delightful?) And the bright springtime colors sure do warm up these blustery winter days. It's by far my favorite vintage find of 2008...so far. What's yours?

Stay well and stay warm!

XOXO,
Ellie

Yes, a bed just like that would be delightful! What adorable graphics on your bingo cards! I would have bought it, as well.

Thrifting has been more than thin here since about October. I have hardly found anything worth mentioning. :-(

The bingo game sure is cute though!

Glad you're back! I love seeing your finds, you always find the most vibrant and charming things, wish I had some of your thrifting luck, I will keep reading, maybe it will rub off on me :)

That bingo thingie is ever so cheerful! It's the same here. Boring, expensive things. Everything's supposed to be a collectors' item. Ha. I'd like to see all those collectors.

oh that is so cute! and yes the pickin's have been slim round here lately too - can't wait for the warmer weather and the first yard sale explosion of Spring!

hi - I just discovered your blog via the nifty thrifty pool - your photos are beautiful! We have a similar taste in our thrifting I think, which could make it hard to read your blog since I will be jealous most of the time...

What a gorgeous find. They would look great framed up. I have just discovered your blog and love it. Happy Hunting.

Love the Bingo cards with all of their bright happy colors! Good luck with your thrifting this year!

A sweet find! :)

What a fantastic find! WoW!

Ahhh, I just want to crawl into that wee bed and be cheered by those colours until spring comes! What a great find!

Not too skimpy in my neck of the woods. I scored flocked wallpaper this week! I have been on a papering paradise ever since. Hope yours gets better real soon!

Still the prettiest blog around. Keep those bright pictures coming!!!!

Oh, that find has Ellie written all over it! :) I love it. I have to say that our thrift stores just don't have such cool vintage finds like that. It may be cuz they are all pretty saavy thrift store owners & they are all in the same area as the antique stores (I have seen many things at the thrift stores that appear later at the antique shops). Mostly I find broken vintage stuff, like the birth month angel with the broken off wing (I rather like that fact, besides I live in earthquake city) or I find Retro inspired things, like the Fiesta ware magnets the other day & the reproduction 50s type oil cloth placemats. I like cherries so I always get happy when I find something Retro ispired like the juice glasses with red cherries on them & the lemonade/tea jug.

Well blow me down.. had to comment after reading your first sentence.. thrifting is more than thin on the ground over here too! I'd posted on this subject earlier this week, isn't it miserable! Oh well, can't wait for the car boot season to start hotting up! Lovely blog and wonderful pictures x

Oh I love your bingo cards. The bear on the bicycle and the clown are adorable too. I too am antsy for garage sale season. I am having withdrawls.
My best find of 2008 so far was a vintage Heidid book. It is the cutest thing! I got it for ten cents! Have a great day!

great find! I got a vintage hat full for 3$ full of great millinery flowers!

Hello Ellie..
I seem to remember this wonderful game from my own childhood.. now that goes a back a bit!
As you say the graphics are wonderful and were obviously stored in my subconcious for all those years...
Lovely to see this again.. a trip back in time.
How I love nostalgia!
